ABOUT the COLLECTIVE 512

The Collective 512 is often mistaken for a singles group, but that's not who we are.
It's about building connections.
I’m building a community for like-minded adults who believe life is more fulfilling when we have supportive, uplifting friendships around us.
The goal of The Collective 512 is not simply to keep people in a group forever—although you are always welcome to stay. It is to create opportunities for genuine connection and help each person build a positive circle of friends that supports personal growth, self-improvement, success, and a fuller life.
Whether you’re single, married, in a relationship, divorced, widowed, new to Austin, or have lived here your entire life, you’ll find a place where you belong.
Whether you want to meet new friends, discover new hobbies, attend local events, volunteer, travel, grow personally, or simply get out of the house more often, The Collective 512 welcomes you.
No matter your relationship status, background, career, or stage of life, if you’re looking for authentic connection and a positive, encouraging community, you’ll fit right in.
Because community isn’t about who you’re dating—it’s about who you’re doing life with.

BUILT FROM A BELIEF THAT
because it takes a village to raise an adult!
When I moved to Austin, I was excited to start a new chapter. Like many people, I came here looking for opportunity, adventure, and a fresh start. I didn’t know anyone and was excited for a new start. I arrived during one of the most challenging times in recent history—COVID-19. Suddenly, everything that normally helps people build connections disappeared. Events were canceled, businesses were closed, people stayed home, and meeting new friends became incredibly difficult. I didn't know anyone here, and I quickly realized something that so many adults experience but rarely talk about: making friends as an adult isn't easy.
Even after the world began to reopen, it still felt difficult to find genuine community. There were plenty of things to do, but not always a welcoming group of people to do them with. I knew I couldn't be the only person feeling that way. I bounced in and out of other social groups, all of which I was making friends, but lacking in some types of shared experiences and the uplifting personal support that I was looking for.
Being the entrepreneur that I am, for about a year and half I had the thought of “I should start my own social group”. One day it just hit me. “Do it” entered my mind and here we are.
I wanted to create the kind of community I wish I had found when I first arrived in Austin—a place where people could show up on their own and immediately feel welcome. We are always caught in the hustle and bustle of life that we don’t stop long enough for ourselves to grow and improve. Our own positive self growth feeds onto other people in a very impactful way that we don’t realize. The COLLECTIVE 512 is built on a simple belief: life is better when it's shared. This community isn't just about attending events. It's about creating connections that continue long after the event is over. It's about finding people who celebrate your successes, support you through challenges, encourage you to try new things, and remind you that you belong.
Whether you've lived in Austin your whole life, recently relocated, are starting over after a life change, or simply want to meet new people, my hope is that you'll find something special here.
Our slogan, "It Takes a Village to Raise an Adult," reflects exactly what this community means to me. No matter our age, we all need friendship, encouragement, support, and people who make life richer. Positive people around us help us want to do better, grow and prosper.
Thank you for being here and for becoming part of this journey. I truly believe we're building more than a social group—we're building a community where people can connect, grow, belong, and create memories together.
Welcome to The COLLECTIVE 512. I'm glad you're here. Let’s do this!
